We are trying to post the full update but are having trouble with the internet right now. The Vol State website will not allow us to view the map this morning due to high traffic. Richard has completed 301 miles and has ONLY 13 TO GO, of course, all up hill. He remains 12th overall, 9th individual, and 6th individual/unsupported.

OK, here we are…

Go Richard! Sprint to the finish. Quite the accomplishment. Across the USA in 2015.

Richard, Harry and Ollie’s Blue Moon Campground and Cafe is located in Pelham just before you start up the mountain to Monteagle on US Hwy 41, about 50 miles from the end of your race. Last year we offered complimentary bottles of water for Vol-State runners, and a place to lay your head in our 57 vintage trailer to catch a few hours of sleep for $15. $3 you can take a shower and we offer breakfast and lunch in the cafe all day. (even chocolate milk). Just wanted you to know we are open from 7-5 Tues – Saturday and live 4 miles from the store. If you come through and need a way station when we aren’t open, just call us and we will come over and open up for you. I am going to post something on the vol state website but just wanted you to know. Good luck in 2014!
