The race began at 7am yesterday with 7 runners. As of 2pm Richard had run 27.93 miles and took a break at Burger King for a cheeseburger. At the end of day 1, Westbrook completed 54.76 miles in bad traffic and high heat, so much that 2 runners dropped out. Others were resting in hotels as Richard roughed it on the side of the road somewhere. Keeping it simple.
