NUMBER 67 – No word from him today as of yet but this morning’s update puts Westbrook past Hampshire at 167 miles. OVER HALFWAY THERE! One more unsupported runner has quit the race leaving a total of 66 in the solo division. RW is 38th of the screwed runners.

LAVS 2016 – DAY 3 1/2 UPDATE
Around noon today, depending on one’s location in the race it was 104 or 108 degrees with “almost no clouds to block the sun” (reported from Last Annual Vol State facebook page). That is not even the hottest part of the day! Oh goodness. I feel for the runners out there. One more screwed runner has dropped out of the race. I hope the rest of them can hang in there with no serious problems due to the heat.
Westbrook is in Hampshire, Tennessee with one other crewed runner having accomplished 164 miles thus far. He has scooted on up to 21st place. Yay, Richard!
