LAVS 2016 – 36 HOUR UPDATE

For the 36 hour update Westbrook is being tracked at 85 miles past Parker’s Crossroads. He is number 95 on the above map. As of this time frame, 2 competitors have quit the race, one in the crewed division and the other in the screwed division. Within the screwed category, Westbrook has moved on up into 19th place.

Approximately 9pm, Westbrook called in about 4 miles before Lexington. He intended to sleep more during the day but simply opted for a 20 minute nap under a shade tree and continued along. Let’s all wish him luck. He needs to get some more rest before delirium sets in.

Here are a few photos from the Last Annual Vol State facebook page for this year’s race. – “The Mississippi River was up about 20 feet and which submerged the first 1/4 mile of the course. We added an out and back to make up the unavailable portion.”
