For last night’s check-in, Westbrook was in Manchester with 249 miles completed. He was carrying on with BJ and using his walking stick to move forward. He was hungry the night before and made it to a Sonic just after they closed. Too tired to move, a man came out and told him “it didn’t matter if they were closed, what did he want?”. He asked for a burger, but those being frozen, the nice man brought out a couple hotdogs and corn dogs – 6 in total I believe. Westbrook ate them all and reported he was unable to run due to being too full. He began walking the course again. Thank you greatly to the Sonic man in Shelbyville! We truly appreciate you.
